The HMH Field Marketing team plans, executes, and measures demand generation marketing programs and campaigns to grow and convert sales pipeline and revenue.
Areas of Responsibility and Performance Measurement Criteria
Marketing Demand/ Creation Strategy
Design and execute state level and regional level campaigns in coordination with Sales leadership
Execute their designated marketing programs including, but not limited to in-person and virtual events, direct marketing, and agreed to transactional sales support including support for local RFP, bid, questionnaires, and response requests.
Implement marketing and promotional plans as appropriate for regional field sales needs. Make recommendations to their Regional Director for course correct on annual plans based on effectiveness.
Act as liaison for Sales, Product Management and Strategy, Product Marketing, & Corporate Marketing.
Collaborate with the Sales and the rest of their Field Marketing colleagues in the transfer of the strategy to tactical and operational execution.
Business Analysis
Use marketing and promotional campaigns to grow sales pipeline and revenue.
Use quantitative data and qualitative analysis.
Will ensure to keep within set budget for local marketing mix.
Communication
Maintain strong, ongoing channels of communication with Sales force, Product Marketing, Product Management and Strategy, Editorial, and other internal departments.
Key Cross Functional Interactions
As a team member of Field Marketing and liaison for sales, the Field Marketing Director is expected to report to Regional Director, Field Marketing to help drive and manage national, regional and local communications to sales as well as facilitate and support sales integration into marketing activities. While the role reports to marketing there is a great amount of collaboration with the assigned sales organization.
Product Management Provide feedback to product management with respect to product needs, competitive information and other data that would help inform the product management accountability with respect to product roadmaps.
Product Marketing Team with product marketing regarding campaign, product and solution needs at the field level. Provide critical feedback to Regional Director with respect to what’s working and not working regarding HMH products and solutions.
Product Development Field marketing’s primary point of contact with respect to products is through the product management organization to assure consistent and transparent feedback. Engage product development as needed on critical product performance or customer satisfaction issues that may arise in the field.
Corporate Marketing Work with corporate marketing as the primary and preferred marketing organization that creates the deliverable, collateral, and programs needed to execute field marketing programs. Assure that field marketing views corporate marketing as a key partner that helps customize local field marketing deliverables.
This is a regional position and field based. This position is going to be working from a home based office.

Educational Qualification / Certifications
· BS/BA in related discipline with at least 5 years of related industry or functional experience
Relevant Experiences
· Experience in marketing, editorial, sales, consulting, or teaching in the content area.
· 5 years of related industry or functional experience.
