The Reseller Account Specialist will be responsible for managing a territory with the sole outcome of generating revenue across the entire product portfolio through our reseller partnerships. Additionally the Reseller Account Specialist will support the reseller partners’ sales representatives in the assigned states to drive revenue deeper and wider into the public, private, parochial educational institutions as well as adjacent markets.
Job Responsibilities:
* Plan strategically with National Accounts Manager to achieve the yearly revenue quota for the reseller partnerships
* Create and implement a state specific strategy plan that focuses on the development of the reseller sales representative and a partnership with the HMH field sales team.
* Partner with the reseller partner sales representatives to close existing sales opportunities and drive incremental sales through lead generation campaigns, marketing support, product positioning, training and webinars.
* Completion of the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt sales training program to ensure adequate product knowledge and sales strategy planning to maintain maximum success
* Obtain baseline knowledge of the entire HMH product line and be able to provide guidance to your reseller partner sales representatives on the different features of each product.
* Coordinate with the National Accounts Manager to ensure all necessary communication with our reseller partners and their sales representatives maintain a consistent and strategic message to promote our partnerships
* Collaboratively work with our sales campaign team to identify opportunities in your states to drive incremental revenue through up sell and cross sell opportunities with-in the HMH product line through our channel partners.
* Manage travel and expenses as appropriate
Requirements · Bachelor’s degree required· Knowledge of educational industry, initiatives and funding a plus · Experience working with reseller partners in a strategic role a plus
