Maintenance of complex excel based relative sales value calculations
Prepare and review periodic studies (including Fair Value, customer life, VSOE, etc.)
Work closely with Management in reviewing significant sales contracts and reduce contract related issues to ensure proper revenue recognition
Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures for accurate and timely revenue recognition for multiple revenue streams
Perform monthly revenue, expense, deferred revenue, account reconciliations
40% - Maintenance of complex excel based relative sales value calculations
25%- Work closely with Management in reviewing significant sales contracts and reduce contract related issues to ensure proper revenue recognition
20% - Support various special projects as required and prepare Ad hoc reports
10% - Perform monthly revenue, expense, deferred revenue, account reconciliations
5% - Assist in developing effective system of internal controls over revenue reporting
Requirements:
Knowledge of Revenue Recognition Pronouncements (SAB 104, EITF 08-1, SOP 97-2)
Advanced Excel Skills (V-Lookup, Pivot tables)
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
2 -3 years’ experience in Software/Technology industry, ideally years in public accounting, plus corporate experience in a similar role. Candidates with at least 2 years straight from Big 4 with relevant client and revenue exposure will be considered.
Experience/Exposure to ASC 985( formerly SOP 97-2), ASC 605(Formerly SAB 104), ASU 2009-13 &14, SOP 81-1
Strong written and oral communication skills,
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Advanced Excel skills ( Pivot tables, V-lookup)
Preferred:
Experience in SAP a plus
CPA or working toward a plus
Experience with SOX 404/COSO framework a plus
